Plausible Analytics
Privacy-first, open-source website analytics — a GDPR-compliant alternative to Google Analytics.
About
Plausible Analytics is a lightweight, open-source web analytics platform built in Estonia. It tracks pageviews, sessions, referrers, and conversion goals without setting any cookies, meaning your visitors require no consent banner under GDPR or ePrivacy. The entire codebase is open-source and can be self-hosted on any EU server, or used as a managed cloud service with data stored in the EU. The script is under 1 KB — roughly 45× smaller than the Google Analytics tag — and has no sampling, no personal data collection, and no cross-site tracking. Plausible has been adopted by thousands of European startups, universities, and public sector organisations as a compliant replacement for Google Analytics.
